Rev. Clyde D. Talley

Pastor

 

Bio:

 

Rev. Talley has completed all of his religious studies under the AME Zion Church and is an ordained minister.  He has held all organizational offices in the church such as Trustee, Steward, Treasurer, Choir Director, and is currently serving as President of Overseas Missions, District and Conference Treasurer, Conference Board of Admissions, and Eastern District Chief of Protocol.

 

He has served as Pastor of 5 churches and while currently serving as Pastor of the Belmont A.M.E. Zion Church in Worcester, MA has led their congregation to their new place of worship on Illinois St.

 

A native of Springfield, MA, he has been involved in Toastmasters (a communication and leadership organization) for over 20 years.  He has served several offices including District Governor of the organization covering Eastern New York, Western MA and all of Connecticut.  He is also the creator and presenter of the “Inspired Excellence” seminar and workshops and is a certified trainer for the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People Workshops.

 

As a professional speaker/lecturer for over 25 years, Rev. Talley has given workshops and presentations to various businesses, colleges, local and civic organizations.  He is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

 

Accomplishments:

 

Some of his accomplishments within Toastmasters are having received the Excellence Award in Education and Training, Division Governor of the Year, winning first place and representing his district in the Regional Level of Toastmasters’ International Speech Competition and many others.  He has also received, Toastmaster of the Year, Spirit of Success award, and Division Governor of the Year, and others.  He has also obtained the highest designation in Toastmasters, DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster). Other accomplishments include being elected into the Who’s Who of Professionals.

 

Community/Education Experience:

 

Rev. Talley is also involved in several community organizations within Worcester such as Y.O.U. Inc. serving on the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, Board Advisor – Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition (EITC), Director - Yes We Care After-School program, Member of the Worcester Black Clergy Alliance, and has served as Chief Executive Officer and President of the Board of Directors of Early Childhood Centers (ECC) in Springfield.  Under his leadership, ECC built a new 4.5 million-dollar facility.

 

He has a Masters Degree in Management from Cambridge College with certificates in Diversity and Organizational Development, and holds several certifications.

 

He is happily married to Yolanda and has two wonderful sons Caleb and Donnell.
